Tuesdays on the Terrace (summer only)
Join Tuesdays on the Terrace, featuring free, live jazz concerts on the MCA’s terrace. The weekly event features an array of Chicago’s quintessential jazz musicians and is hosted by Al Carter-Bey with Richton Guy Thomas, from WHPK 88.5 FM, University of Chicago.
A dinner buffet created by Puck’s Café, which uses fresh, locally grown produce from our Farmers’ Market is available for $25 per person. The buffet’s changing menu includes themes such as Tailgate, Low Country Boil, Street Food, State Fair, Chicago Summer Festivals, and Picnic Salads (see menu).
Tables are limited and reservations are recommended. Consider making a group reservation for an office outing or a fun night with friends. Call 312.397.4034.
For a more impromptu evening, bring a blanket or rent an MCA lawn chair ($5 each) to relax on the garden lawn.
Lighter fare—house-made bratwursts ($8), burgers ($8), and salads ($6)—may be purchased from the outdoor grill on the lower terrace. Assorted beverages—beer ($6), wine ($8), and seasonal cocktails ($10)—are also available from the cash bars on the lower and upper terraces.
Outside food and beverages are not allowed in the sculpture garden. In case of rain, the event takes place inside Puck’s Café.
