Car seats aren’t cheap, but they are necessary. They keep kids safe, and that’s a good thing. To make it easier for more people to have the right-size car seats, Stroger Hospital sells infant, convertible, and booster seats for $30 to $40 each.
The car-seat program operates from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Go to the Pediatric Waiting Area of the Emergency Room. Cash only, no refunds or returns.
You will have to watch a short video about car seat installation (about 20 minutes) before you receive your seat.
