The Southport Art Festival features some of Chicago’s favorite entertainers, including Ralph Covert, Edwin McCain, Justin Roberts and many more. This festival always offers an exciting array of live music on the main stages and lots of other interactive activities and entertainment opportunities. A Gospel Brunch will be held Sunday.
The Southport Art Festival benefits the Southport Neighbors Association. Since 1988, Southport Neighbors Association (SNA) has been representing the residents and businesses of the unique and vibrant neighborhood, in the heart of Lakeview.
The festival will showcase the work of more than 75 of the city’s most diverse artists who work in a variety of mediums, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, jewelry, sculpture, photography, glass and mixed media. Attendees can look forward to seeing Chicago-based standout artists, edgy photographers and abstract painters. In addition to supporting the arts and viewing incredible artwork that is available for purchase, festival guests also will have the opportunity, through live art demonstrations and booth chats to speak one-on-one with the artists.
Restaurants in the Southport Corridor area will be open for business, serving up summer favorites.
During the Festival the Music Box will be screening Looney Tunes cartoons for FREE both days from 11AM-2:30PM.
