Kids ages 4-12 can make mythic monsters masks inspired by art at the University of Chicago Smart Museum in this Saturday afternoon drop-in class. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Come early. The Museum opens at 10am and admission is FREE.

Instruction and art materials for Family Day: Art Monsters are FREE.

Family programs are supported by the Harper Court Arts Council.

Thanks to Talat Rashid for letting me know about this annual ethnic festival in Bolingbrook, a Chicago suburb, that draws up to 10,000 visitors in a single day. Admission is FREE. Pakistani food is available for purchase.
