The Chicago Green Festival will be held May 18 and 19 at Navy Pier. It will feature speakers, demonstrations, and vendors talking about a huge range of environmental and community issues. Admission isn’t too bad, starting at $10 for a day pass, but you can get in for free – and get a t-shirt – by volunteering to help. It’s a great way to meet people, save money, and do some good for the world at large.

If there is anything better than a free Ben & Jerry’s ice cream cone, I don’t know about it. Tuesday, April 9 is free cone day, and participating Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops are giving away their goodies.

In the Chicago area, you can find Ben & Jerry’s stores at Navy Pier, Oak Park, Glenview, and Palatine. By the way, the Midway Airport store is not participating.

Chicago Shakespeare’s Courtyard Theater, Navy Pier, Chicago. Every Saturday morning at 11:00 am from March 3 through April 6.

Order tickets online. Adults $20. Kids 18 and under $16.
