Where: Nichols Park, 53rd & Kenwood. (No Parade)
In 2021 there will be no parade. Bring a picnic or pick up food from local restaurants.
Activities include: Lawn Games: Hula Hoop Challenge, Madeline Ring Toss, Clown Bean Bag Toss, Croquet with adults and kid versions, Little kid obstacle course including basketball hoop. Cornhole and kiddie beanbag toss, Hop Scotch and balance course.

If you’ve ever wanted to march in a parade here’s your chance. Everyone is welcome to join. Parade followed by picnic.
This old fashioned neighborhood parade includes decorated floats, marching bands, cheerleaders, horses, decorated bikes and ends with a picnic at Nichols Park 1355 E. 53rd Street. No parade 2021.
No food vendor this year
Some food will be for sale but No food will be available for sale per the Hyde Park Herald the food vendor canceled at the last minute. The Parade committee encourages parade participants to bring a lunch or “consider visiting our many sponsors and businesses that will be open tomorrow along 53rd Street,”
Anyone can march
If you’ve ever wanted to march in a parade here’s your chance. Sign up your group and join the crowd. The parade staging area is at 54th and Old Lake Park Avenue in the Hyde Park Bank parking lot. Bike decorating begins at 10 a.m. Assembly is at 10:30 a.m. and step off is at 11 a.m. The parade will head south on Lake Park to 55th St, west on 55th to Hyde Park Blvd, north on Hyde Park Blvd to 53rd St, and east on 53rd St to Nichols Park.
