Adopt a Bike Lane on May 19.
Kick off the summer biking season by ensuring bike lanes are clean, safe, and clearly marked. This event will include volunteers documenting bike lane conditions to share with city departments so they have great data and photos to plan their summer maintenance work. More info here.
Part 1: Morning Check-in (optional)
Time: Drop in between 11am -1pm
Location: Keating Law Offices, 825 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60642 (near blue line)
What: Doughnuts & coffee provided.
If you’re new to submitting to the Bike Lane Uprising database, an overview will be provided during check-in. Volunteers who have not selected a bike lane to adopt prior can do so during morning check in. BLU merchandise available for sale.
Part 2: Document Adopted Bike Lane Conditions
Cyclists will visit their adopted bike lanes & document lane conditions. You are welcome to document prior to 5/19. As long as lane conditions are added to our database prior to 5/24 we will have enough time to get them mapped. See map at bottom of this page for available bike lanes to adopt.
Part 3: After PARTY!
Time: 4pm -6pm
Location: Rocking Horse – 2535 N. Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60647 Logan Square (near blue line)
What: Free food! Contests with prizes! Let’s celebrate a job well done! BLU merch available for sale.
