Passport Vibes: Afrobeat Street Festival

Dance to the joyful, contagious rhythms of Afrobeat music during the free Afrobeat Street Festival on July 13, 2024, in the Hyde Park neighborhood.

Explore the culture of Afrobeat, a genre created in Nigeria by the legendary musician Fela Kuti, with DJs from around the world spinning tunes that inspire hip-shaking. The fest supplies non-stop beats to dance in the street.

Food, games and photo installations are also part of the fest, which runs from noon- 10 pm. The event will unfold in front of The Promontory, at 5311 S. Lake Park Ave.
