Afrobeat combines traditional Nigerian rhythms with elements of jazz and funk. This upbeat, infectious sound inspires exciting expressions and continuous dancing. The genre has moved to the mainstream and various pop stars now incorporate Afrobeat into their songs.
Food, games and photo installations are also part of the fest, which runs from noon- 10 pm. The event will unfold in front of The Promontory, at 5311 S. Lake Park Ave.
