Bed Bath Beyond Rebate Submission Issues.
Rebate processor having an issue I made a mistake! See update below.
If you took advantage of the “Purchase a $200 Visa Open Loop Card and Receive a $25 Bed Bath & Beyond Gift Card” offer and submitted your rebate(s) you may have gotten an email saying your rebate is invalid. I can’t recall ever having a problem in years but if you’re new tot this don’t worry.
There’s clearly a problem on their end. One of my rebates went through and one didn’t. Plus the explanation was “Invalid Purchase Location.” Since I bought them at BBB, and one went through, the rebate processor is having a hiccup.
What to do
As you can see above it says to resubmit the “missing information” except their isn’t anything missing so I’m not going to confuse the issue by resubmitting. An online chat is an option but I prefer to have something in writing because there is a cut-off date (Dec 27) for these rebates. Here’s the email I sent to
I filed a rebate submission online for “Purchase a $200 Visa Open Loop Card and Receive a $25 Bed Bath & Beyond Gift Card” promotion. Rebate tracking number is: XXXXXXXXUnfortunately, we could not honor your request due to the following reason(s): Invalid Purchase LocationI’m wondering what this means since I bought it at a Bed Bath and Beyond store. Can you investigate and correct the issue? Thanks, Name, address, phone
I’ll keep you posted on my progress
UPDATE: While I was typing this post the email came back invalid from email@example.com and I also tried firstname.lastname@example.org which didn’t work either.
So I did a live chat at www.bedbathrebates.com. Essentially when I submitted the receipt I chopped off “Bed Bath and Beyond” at the top of the picture! After 30 minutes of chatting with an agent and a manager I extracted a valid email address from them email@example.com, resubmitted the receipt and got them to process it. Ugh! Lesson learned. Don’t leave off the store name in the picture!
Where to use your Visa Gift Cards
Incidentally, if you took advantage of this offer and are still wondering what to do with your Visa gift cards I intend to use mine on Sunday, Dec 3 in-store to buy Target gift cards at 10% off! Which if you took advantage of this offer you can use to save even more money!
