The Southside Community Art Center honors the Juneteenth federal holiday with 3831 Juneteenth, an afternoon of free letterpress printmaking and art installations on June 17, 2023.
Artists Eric Von Hayes and Angela Davis Fegan will guide visitors in a letterpress print activation that showcases the intersection of Black and Queer liberation in honor of both Pride Month and Juneteenth.
Andrea Yarborough will complete her outdoor art installation, “Collective Steps,” which maps the stories of understudied Black women who helped sustain the founding of the Southside Community Art Center. The family-friendly event is open to the public.
