The Southside Community Art Center honors the Juneteenth federal holiday with Juneteenth at the House, an afternoon of music, comedy, poetry and art making on June 18, 2022.
DJ Duane Powell, comedians Arlieta Hall and Max Thomas, poet Resita Cox and artist Cecil McDonald are some of the highlights of this free and family-friendly event. The festivities run from noon to 4 pm with family art making that features a polaroid photo activation and a cyanotype activation between noon and 2 pm.
Browse the works of artist Brandon Breaux, acclaimed for his work on Chance the Rapper’s iconic album covers. Breaux will launch a limited edition tote bag featuring his art.
Vaccination cards and masks are required for entry
