Cheap golf courses Chicago.
The least expensive way to golf is on public courses. If anyone knows a cheap ($20-30 for 9 holes) private course please post in the comments. Thanks. I haven’t been to any of these courses lately or ever so you may want to look for some Yelp reviews so you can judge for yourself whether the condition of the course is worth the money.
Golf facilities owned by Chicago Park District
The Chicago Park District owns eight golf facilities. These facilities are managed by a third party. They offer two types of membership from $25-$960. You can also book tee times without a membership. If you’re a Chicago resident and are sure you will golf more than five times in a season the $25 Players Advantage card will pay for itself in five rounds and every round after that you will save $5.

Jackson Park Golf Course, 6401 S Richards Dr, Chicago, IL 60649, (773) 496-5015. Jackson Park also has a driving range. This is an 18 hole course so rounds are $26 (weekdays) and $35 (weekends) including 9% tax. Cart rental is $18.

Cheap golf courses Chicago – Rates
Greens fees seem to vary based on facility, date and time of play. Fees for 9 holes range from $17.43-$29.36 plus 9% sales tax=$19-$32. Jackson Park is higher because it’s an 18 hole course. The lowest rates at all courses are online. Walk up and phone reservations are subject to higher prices. The general findings are to get a tee time where you want and when you want – book in advance (up to 14 days). Rates are slightly cheaper on weekdays and at off times like 5am or 6pm.
