Cheap golf courses Cook County
The least expensive way to golf is on public courses. If anyone knows a cheap ($20-30 for 9 holes) private course please post in the comments. Thanks. I have never been to any of these courses so you may want to look for some Yelp reviews so you can judge for yourself whether the condition of the course is worth the money.
Golf facilities owned by Forest Preserves of Cook County
The Forest Preserves of Cook County own eleven golf facilities. These facilities are managed by a third party (The same group that manages Chicago golf courses). They offer a FPG (Forest Preserve Golf) card for $34 (Reg. $37) for Cook County residents and $39 (Reg. $42) for non-residents. This card offers a discounts including on golf. If you’re a Cook County resident this card should pay for itself after 7-11 golf rounds. You can also book tee times without a membership.

Cheap golf courses Cook County – Rates
Greens fees seem to vary based on facility, date and time of play, if you prepay and if you are walking or riding. Prices are for either 9 or 18 holes.. Some prices include the cart rental. Fees for 9 holes walking range from $20-29 (plus applicable tax). Fees for 9 holes with cart range from $30-32 (plus applicable tax).
18 holes walking fees range from $26-43 (plus applicable tax). Fees for 18 holes with cart range from $36-73 (plus applicable tax).. Since these courses are in different municipalities the sales tax rate may vary.
The lowest rates at all courses are online. Walk up and phone reservations are subject to higher prices. The general findings are to get a tee time where you want and when you want – book in advance (up to 14 days). Rates are slightly cheaper on weekdays and at off times like 5am or 6pm.
