With a pedigree that reaches back over 46 years, the Southside Irish St. Patrick’s Day Parade is one of the largest community-focused St. Patrick’s Day Parades outside of Dublin.

This year’s parade marches on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from noon to 3 p.m. The parade runs through the Beverly neighborhood and starts at 103rd and Western Ave. and heads south to 115th St. The parade route is 1.5 miles and expect thousands of cheering, singing revelers at this high-spirited event. There’s a focus on family-friendly themes and many spectators are former neighborhood members returning to reconnect with the community.
After the parade, consider exploring the Beverly neighborhood, which hosts one of the largest Irish American communities in Chicago. Raise a pint at the neighborhood fave Cork & Kerry pub and choose from over 20 beers to celebrate the holiday.
Visit landmarks like The Givins Castle (Beverly Unitarian Church), Orhinal Rainbow Cone, which has been serving up the iconic, multilayered treat for over 80 years and the Beverly Arts Center.
