Chicago streets open for outdoor dining – Rush Street. The City will be closing select streets to traffic again this year to enable expanded outdoor dining. Sidewalk patios will be extended into the street and at some locations there will be a few communal tables set up for dining on carry-out.
Dine out on Rush – Closure on Rush from Oak (1000N) to Cedar (1100N)
Northbound CTA 36 buses will be rerouted (check the CTA website for updates) from State to west on Oak, Oak to Clark, then resumes the normal route on Clark.
Southbound CTA 36 buses will be rerouted (check the CTA website for updates) via Clark, then east on Oak, Oak to State, then resumes the normal route on State.
Dates & Times: Rush Street is closed until further notice. Days and times of operation vary by restaurant. You should always call before heading out because a restaurant may not have outdoor dining available due to weather, staffing, etc. Also depending on when you’re going you may want to make a reservation.
