Regular basic general admission to the Adler Planetarium is $8. This includes access to the regular museum exhibits but excludes all the sky shows. The museum offers limited free days to Illinois residents during the year. Free museum days are listed here. Read about what you get on free day here.
The best part of the museum are the sky shows. You can see all the sky shows with an All Access pass which is regularly $35. $19 — Adler Planetarium: Anytime All-Access Pass. This offer has been around since mid-April when I first published it so it may end soon.
The current Adler Sky Shows are:
- Planet Nine
- Cosmic Wonder
- Destination Solar System
- Skywatch Live
- Welcome To The Universe
- One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure
See all the Sky Shows
To take full advantage of your pass you might want to look at the schedule for the day of your visit and figure out how to see as many shows as possible. If you want to see all the sky shows you should arrive as early as possible. When you purchase unlimited sky shows they will only issue tickets to two shows at a time. After you’ve seen two shows you have to go back up to the ticket counter and get tickets for two more shows, if they’re available.
