Discount tickets Navy Pier July 4 rooftop party call Freedom Fest.
When:July 4, 2017, 6:15PM-11PM
Where: Navy Pier, 700 E. Grand
Every year on July 4 Navy Pier blows off a spectacular fireworks show. There are many free vantage points where you can watch but if you want to be in the center of the action you have to go to Navy Pier. This is a crush of humanity that some may find uncomfortable.
Another option is to attend their annual rooftop party.
***6/24/17 Update. I contacted the organizers and received further info. The party takes place on the rooftop on top of the Grand Ballroom which is all the way at the end of the pier. There are no outside chairs permitted so you will have to stand. The food items are Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Pulled Pork, Grilled Chicken, etc. Food costs about $8 per item. The bathrooms are port-a-loos. No response on drink prices. I would assume somewhere in the $10 plus per beer, wine and more for cocktails.***
Tickets are regularly $39 but for a limited time they are $22.50 (plus fees). Essentially this ticket gets you standing room access for one. Here are regular prices. Tickets are still available.
Navy Pier’s advisory for July 4 says to arrive several hours early, even if you have tickets. When the Pier closes due to crowd capacity, guests with advance tickets or official reservations will be directed to a tent located in north Polk Bros Park where they must check in and receive further instructions.
Here’s the deal:
• Access for One onto Navy Pier’s Rooftop for the best possible vantage point to watch the Navy Pier Fourth of July Fireworks
• BBQ Food and • Full Available for Purchase.
• Music Provided by Chicago’s Finest DJ
• Price is Per Person
I’ve never done this so I’m not sure how crowded it gets up there but the room is 27,000 square feet. I would love to go up there but Navy Pier it’s too much of a madhouse that night. If you really want to see the fireworks front and center this is a great deal. If anyone goes and gets great pictures email them to me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll post them. Enjoy!
