DuSable Museum of African American History celebrates Juneteenth, the oldest nationally recognized commemoration of the ending of slavery in the U.S., with a Juneteenth BBQ & Block Party on Sunday, June 19, 2022, from 11 am-8 pm.
A quilting exhibition, horseback riding, food, fashion and special performances will be featured during this day of remembrance. Co-hosted by Chicago’s own Chance the Rapper, the event is free but guests are invited to bring their own grill to barbecue their family specialties.
