DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center celebrates Juneteenth, the oldest nationally recognized commemoration of the ending of slavery in the U.S., with an all-day Juneteenth Celebration on Friday, June 19, 2026.

Yoga, horseback riding, a farmers’ market and special musical performances will be featured during this day of remembrance. Food trucks, kids’ activities and ceremonies commemorating Juneteenth will also be featured.
A vendor marketplace with over 80 local, Black-owned businesses will supply artisan goods, apparel, jewelry and art. The event will include a full day of celebration, reflection, and community. Enjoy a vibrant mix of education, entertainment, food and local vendors in honor of Black history, culture, and freedom. The event is free and runs from 5 am to 10:00 pm.
