The 26th annual Englewood Jazz Festival presents an exciting line-up of established and emerging Chicago musicians for three days in the Englewood community on September 18-20, 2025.

Live the Spirit Residency at Hamilton Cultural Center educates and mentors the next generation of jazz musicians. The free festival will open with the residency’s leader, Ernest Dawkins, presenting “Great Black Music-Ancient to the Future,” dedicated to the founders of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians (AACM) on September 18 at 6 pm.
Other performers included in this impressive line-up are composer and multi-disciplinary artist Renee Baker, pianist, saxophonist and composer Adegoke Steve Colson, revered vocalist Dee Alexander, percussionist and composer JoVia Armstrong and jazz and blues drummer Isaiah Spencer.
The Englewood Jazz Festival schedule is 6 pm on September 18 and 19 and noon- 6 pm on September 20. Limited seating will be provided but the audience is advised to bring their own chairs and blankets.
