Symbolizing the triumph of good over evil, the powders will be available for purchase to toss in designated outdoor areas. Free dance and musical performances will continue the festivities inside the Aon Grand Ballroom.
Traditionally in India, many people light bonfires the night before the Holi festival to symbolize the destruction of evil and triumph of good. On the day of Holi, entire streets and towns overflow with locals throwing colored powder in the air. Some toss balloons filled with colored water from rooftops and others use squirt guns.
The day is filled with light-hearted joy and fun. The holi festival was popularized in Bollywood films and now the celebration is observed all over the world.
