Congo Square Theatre Company, one of Chicago’s most acclaimed theater groups, will commemorate its 26th anniversary with “Festival on The Square,” a popular program of free live theater readings, food and drinks on June 22, 2023, and June 28, 2023.
Attend an elevated happy hour and theater reading at Retreat at Currency Exchange at 7 pm on June 23, 2024. Watch Paris Crayton III’s “Welcome to the Blue Swan” while sipping creative cocktails and light bites in the Washington Park neighborhood.
Head to the colorful Boxville Marketplace on June 28, 2023 and watch three stage readings while sipping on drinks, nibbling on food and shopping with the Boxville vendors in the Bronzeville community. The event opens at 6:30 and readings start at 7 pm.
