Chicago’s landmark artist’s haven which boasts 10 floors of art studios and performance spaces, celebrates 125 years as the “heartbeat of arts and culture in America” with the Fine Arts Building 125th Anniversary Celebration on October 13, 2023.
A home for art in all forms, the historic Fine Arts Building has been Chicao’s center for creativity for over 100 years. The celebration will feature free music, dance, theater and puppetry performances as well as open studio exhibits.
Celebration highlights include tap dance demonstrations by the Human Rhythm Project, music concerts by the Jazz Institute of Chicago, performances by the Chicago Opera Theater and a handmade puppet display by the Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival.
A live classical piano concert will start at 7:30 in the Studebaker Theater. The Fine Arts Building 125th Anniversary Celebration runs from 5-9 p.m. and is free and open to all ages. Reservations for the concert are encouraged here.
