What is Floating Museum
The Floating Museum is an art installation on a barge that will be making it’s way down the Chicago river. Floating Museum is a mobile gallery filled with art crates displaying work created by local artists. It celebrates the River’s industrial past.
Floating Museum will offer free interactive public art, community discussions and activities and culture programming. After the Riverwalk it’s moving to Navy Pier next. Stay tuned!

6PM-8PM Join a “Song Circle” with local blues and gospel voices led by renowned poet and vocalist Avery R. Young.
Thursdays August 17 and 24, 2017
6PM-8PM Join a “Breaking Bread” session with a different community panel for each session.
Saturdays August 19 and 26, 2017
6PM-8PM Join Sticks + Tape a collaborative building exercise Riverwalk Water Plaza (between Wells & LaSalle). All ages welcome.
Sunday August 27, 2017
Final day Riverwalk performance is “an intersection of art, history, and discipline, this finale event features a full choir, live music, dance performance, and video screening”.
