Take your day to another dimension with a visit to Adler Planetarium on Wednesday nights. For Adler at Night, the planetarium is open late, from 4-10 pm so that visitors can experience the excitement of the sky and the cosmos at night.
Illinois residents can explore the planetarium for free during Adler at Night. Visitors can check out the sky shows, learn about the first lunar missions, browse exhibits and go to the Doane Observatory, which features the largest public telescope in the region.
The highlight of Adler at Night is that guests can talk to astronomers about their experiences and ask questions, Adler’s Space Visualization Lab hosts researchers and scientists who engage with visitors about all aspects of astronomy. The astronomers are available from 6-8 pm on Wednesdays.
Check out the monthly schedule for the interactive Space Visualization Lab to discover events, exhibits and discussions. The lab allows participants to virtually explore the universe.
Adler at Night is free for Illinois residents and you must show proof of residency with ID or utility bill. Free tickets must be reserved in advance here.
