About Design Museum of Chicago
The Design Museum of Chicago is a volunteer operated museum that “facilitates an open conversation about design across disciplines and borders.. ” The museum closes between exhibitions to facilitate design, fabrication, and installation processes and depends on volunteer schedules.
The Museum strengthens design culture and builds community by facilitating the exchange of knowledge through dynamic experiences. Through exhibitions, public and private programs, digital media, and workshops the museum facilitates an open conversation about design across disciplines and borders. We believe design has the capacity to fundamentally improve the human condition, and strive to make it accessible to everyone through a public space in the Chicago Loop.
Anyone interested in design, museums, non-profits or community building is welcome to volunteer.! To join the volunteer mailing list for upcoming opportunities, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
