The 24th annual World Music Festival Chicago is a city-wide, multi-venue festival presenting over 30 artists and ensembles from 22 countries around the globe, presented for free over 10 days from September 20– 29, 2024.
Dance to the rhythms and melodies of musicians from all over the world at a series of free concerts across the city. This year’s line-up includes performers from Morocco. Egypt, Mexico, India, Mali, Mongolia, France and Colombia.
Two special concerts include a celebration of Indian Classical music at the Chicago Cultural Center as well as a Global Peace Picnic with a line-up of Latin performers at the Humboldt Park Boathouse.
A colorful festival finale will kick off on September 29 at the Chicago Cultural Center with New Orleans band Cha Wa and Bolivian singer Hector Guerra.
All shows are free and are scheduled in the afternoon and evenings at venues including Old Town School of Folk Music, Logan Center for the Arts, Navy Pier, Millenium Park and The Promontory.
