Celebrate Earth Day with a free week-long film festival that features virtual watch parties, in-person Chicago venues, a Chicago park clean-up and an Earth Day Resource Fair, April 22-27, 2026.

The One Earth Film Festival includes thought-provoking films and discussions as well as opportunities to help fight climate change and address environmental justice.
The festival will showcase environmental films like Drowned Land, which follows indigenous water protectors battling to save the Kiamichi River in Oklahoma and From Rails to Trails, which explores the American trails movement that protects unused rail corridors to create safe spaces for people to walk, bike and be active.
The food documentary Rooted highlights how urban farmer and food activist Germaine Jenkins is taking on the Charleston, South Carolina, power structure to stop the toxic food that has poured into her community for decades and replace it with fresh, whole food.
Celebrate Earth Day by joining the Chicago Park District’s annual Earth Day Clean-up in parks across the city on April 18, 2026. An Earth Day Resource Fair kicks off at Dvorak Park, 1119 W. Cullerton, on April 11, 2026, from noon- 3 pm.
