Lincoln Park Zoo’s annual Zoo Lights is the highlight of Chicago’s holiday season, with hundreds of lights twinkling across the grounds. Tickets are on sale now for the event, which opens on November 21, 2025.

Stroll through the zoo and enjoy an illuminated holiday wonderland of animal displays and Christmas characters. Zoo Lights runs from November 21 to January 4, 2026, with $7 general admission tickets for fixed date admission and free tickets on Mondays.

Weekend and special event tickets are $10. Tickets sell out fast so purchase your tickets as early as possible here. Strolling carolers, photos with Santa, cookie decorating and ice carvers are part of the exciting festivities.
Most indoor and outdoor habitats will be open for visiting as well as attractions like the Light Maze, Endangered Species Carousel and Lionel Train Adventure, which require additional tickets purchased at the zoo. Zoo Lights runs from 4:30 -9:00 PM Sunday-Thursday evenings and until 10 PM on Fridays and Saturdays.
