Start your holiday shopping early by checking out the masterful work of Mexican artisans at the annual Festival del Arte Popular at the National Museum of Mexican Art on October 10-19, 2025.

Witness live demonstrations of intricate Mexican folk art and meet artists from all over Mexico at this colorful festival. Browse through ceramics from Puebla, wood carvings from Oaxaca, paintings from Guerrero, loom weaving from Oaxaca and Chiapas, as well as sugar skulls from Puebla.

Some of the noted artists featured at the event include Daniel Paredes and Maria Fernanda Rosales Ruiz, who create whimsical Day of the Dead figures from clay, Jacobo Angeles Ojeda, who crafts fantasy animals decorated in the elaborate Mixteca-Zapotec tradition.
Audias and Mariana Roldan, who do traditional papel Amante paintings, which highlight nature and country town scenes on Amante parchment paper.
Visitors can also shop at the colorful Tienda Tzintzutzan and pick up handmade sugar skulls for the Day of the Dead festivities. The festival runs from 10 am to 5 pm each day inside the National Museum of Mexican Art.
