
Opened in 1893, the Newberry Library is a Chicago historic and architectural treasure. Take a free guided tour and learn about the library’s fascinating legacy and why it’s so important to the city.
Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday in January, the Newberry offers an hour-long guided tour through climate-controlled bookshelves, exhibit halls and the building’s ornate facade. Tours meet in the lobby and run from 11:30-12:30 pm on Tuesdays, 1:00-2:00 pm on Thursdays and 10:30-11:30 am on Saturdays.
The Newberry is open Tuesday-Saturday, from 10 am-4 pm.
