A free, family-friendly celebration of Juneteenth with live performances by R&B stars Angie Stone and Marcia Ambrosius as well as hip hop MC Talib Kweli will be the highlight of Juneteenth Village Fest, on June 18, 2023, in the Douglass Park community.
The festivities will also include food vendors, carnival rides, kids’ activities and community resource booths. The all-day event will display artistic talent in all forms. Besides the headliners, Juneteenth Village Fest will also feature BJ the Chicago Kid, Kindred The Family Soul, Muntu dancers and drummers and the Jesse White Tumblers.
The festival runs from noon- 8 pm and is free and open to the public.
