State Street, that great street, will be closed to traffic and open for an interactive, fun-filled block party in the heart of the Loop. Sundays on State is scheduled this summer for June 16 and July 14, 2024.
From 11 to 6 pm on the designated Sundays, State Street between Lake and Madison Streets will burst with live music, art, games, food and free activities.
Stroll down the street and try food samples, learn to hula hoop, watch an artist create a painting live, sing karaoke, listen to live bands and a huge selection of other options.
This year’s performance schedule includes performances by the Joffrey Ballet and soul singer Gerald McClendon.All the activities are free and there’s no admission charge but if you register to attend, you will be entered for a chance to win a $1,000 Loop staycation.
