Celebrate Japanese culture, food and traditions at the annual Ginza Holiday Festival held at the Midwest Buddhist Temple in the Old Town neighborhood, on August 11-13, 2023.
Experience the beauty of Japanese culture, including traditional folk dances, Taiko drumming, martial arts and music. Visitors will also be able to purchase artisan craft goods from The Waza, a federation of artists who have studied ancient craft techniques that have been passed down for over 300 years. Food is a popular aspect of the Ginza Holiday Fest and Japanese dishes like Udon noodles and Teriyaki chicken will be on sale. This year, visitors have the option of pre-ordering their food if they don’t want to wait in line at the fest.
The Ginza Holiday Fest runs on Friday, August 11 from 5:30 pm-9 pm; Saturday, August 12, 11:30 am-8 pm and Sunday, August 13, 11:30 am – 4 pm. A suggested donation is $5 per person, children under 12 are free but children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
