Head to Rogers Park for one of the city’s most vibrant and socially aware farmers’ markets, Glenwood Sunday Farmers Market. The market runs on Sundays, from June 1 to October 26, 2025, from 9 am to 2 pm, at Glenwood and Morse Avenues.

What makes this farmer’s market stand out is its focus on sustainable, regionally produced food that’s accessible to the whole community. Grants are given to food-insecure shoppers and produce is regularly donated to feed hungry neighbors.

Local artisans and farmers supply an array of organic produce, flowers, meats, plants, baked goods and prepared dishes. Pick up jerk chicken and Congolese cabbage at Urban Tables, freshly baked croissants at Bennison’s Bakery, dramatic flower bouquets at Milwaukee Homegrown and peppers, bok choy and red garlic at Vangie’s Farm.
Stroll down Glenwood’s cobblestone street and you’ll see locals sipping morning coffee and drinks on the outdoor patio, various musicians performing top 10 tunes and dogs trotting behind their owners. Produce, baked goods and especially flowers, run out by noon so the ideal time to arrive is 9:30, when crowds are still thin and all the vendors have set up.
