Head to State Street to celebrate Halloween as the “artist’s holiday” with an evening of wonder and creativity at the Arts in the Dark Halloween Parade on October 19, 2024, in the Loop.
Recognized as one of the top six Halloween events in the world, the tenth annual Arts in the Dark parade will showcase arts organizations like the Art Institute of Chicago, Lookingglass Theatre Company and After School Matters with innovative floats, puppets and performances.
Expect to be dazzled by music, dance and creative costumes. The event highlights artistic inspiration as well as cultures and communities displaying the power of art.

Arts in the Dark Halloween Parade will run from 6-8 p.m. and proceed down State Street from Lake to VanBuren. The north end of the route tends to get more crowded so come early and snag a spot on the south end.
