How to buy Girl Scout Cookies
It’s time of year again. Since many people still aren’t going to the office I figured I’d find out a way to buy cookies. Those industrious Girl Scouts have a website and an app that will tell you when and where they will go on sale. Cookie season for the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana is currently underway.

Nothing came up for my zip code
So I clicked through Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana to Girl Scout Cookies Virtual Pop-up Shop and zoomed in to to closest Troop. Each Troop has a goal for the number of boxes they want to sell and they also explain what they plan to use the cookie sale proceeds for.
Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana are taking cookie orders now and they will arrive in late February or early March. This gives me enough time to make room in the freezer. Cookies last longer than you think. Cookies are $5 per box (4 box minimum for shipping) shipping varies by location and order size.
Pick up or delivery
You have the option of picking up your cookies, pay to have them shipped or your Troop may drop them at their home. Ultimately I emailed everyone I know with Girl Scout age children and found a friend who I bought cookies from. They emailed me a link and I purchased online. They will drop them off at some point, at their convenience, – no charge. Not all Troops offer drop off. You have to request it and see if it’s available.
