How to buy Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me tickets.
If you’re a fan of Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me the NPR news quiz show and have ever thought about attending a taping here’s how it works:
Tickets are $30 general admission and $85 for a seat in the first two rows plus a bag of swag. Tickets go on sale approximately six weeks before the taping on Friday’s at 10AM. The Premium Seats sell out immediately followed by the regular seats within a couple days at most. Click here to enter to win a pair of tickets to any WWDTM taping in Chicago.

If you want to go be prepared to buy the day they go on sale. Tickets are sold through Eventbrite so if you don’t already have an account you may want to set up one up in advance. Ticket proceeds benefit NPR. Search for “WWDTM in Chicago.”
Tapings are at the 456 seat Chase Bank Auditorium, 10 S. Dearborn on Thursday nights. Doors open at 7:00PM; taping begins at 7:30PM and lasts until approximately 9:30PM. Be sure to arrive by 7:25 p.m. to guarantee those reserved seats.
There is a ‘first come, first served’ waiting list. Please show up to the check-in area in the basement of the bank starting at 5:30 p.m. that day. No guarantees.
- All seats are assigned.
- Tickets can only be used by the ticket purchaser who must be present with a picture I.D.
- There are no refunds or exchanges for purchased tickets through WBEZ or NPR.
