The annual International Games Day @ Your Library mini-con is part of a global celebration of games, learning and play. Join us for a daylong event spotlighting Chicagoland game designers and organizations.
In our table-top room, Chicagoland game developers and publishers will demo their games and answer any questions you have about design, game development and the Chicago games community. You can also explore games from retailers and other game-related groups:
- Argypelago Games
- Avianrampage Games
- Chicago Nerd Social Club
- Chicagoland Games: Dice Dojo
- Randy O. Games
- Rise of the Demigods
- Road to Infamy Games

- Zoard Games
Cards Against Humanity will join us in the table-top room to demonstrate and test a new game in the works.
New: Gather a team in our Reception Hall and work together to solve a Breakout Box! Similar to escape rooms, our Breakout Boxes challenge your logic, investigation and puzzle-solving skills. Piece together clues, unscramble codes and get to the heart of a mystery!
Or enter a virtual world with Anthropod VR!
As part of the library’s Community Cinema program, we’re hosting three films for game lovers in our Video Theater:
- 10 a.m.: Pokémon Detective Pikachu (PG — 104 mins)
- 12 p.m.: Game Night (R — 100 mins)
- 2 p.m.: Assassin’s Creed (PG — 115 mins)
Returning for a second year, local podcasters Dungeons, Dice & Everything Nice will close out the day with a live, actual play Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition adventure.
