Leo’s Dancewear used to have an outlet store in Chicago. That closed; the replacement, in River Forest, is more of a retail store that receives some deep discount items, especially unsold products from past catalogues.
The front of the store has a standard array of leotards and tights. Women’s leotards run about $23.00, and girls sizes are much less. All shoes were 25% off retail, although that was due to a seasonal sale.
In the back of the store are bins with clearance items, and the prices were pretty good. The selection included tutus ($10 each), modern dance shoes, tights, and dance pants. I’d include a picture, but the store manager yelled at me after I took the picture above.
This may not be worth the drive, even for a serious dancer, given that it’s not much of an outlet. If you’re in the area and looking for standard dance items, you may as well stop by and see if the sale bins have something good.
