Where:  Lyric Opera, 20 N. Wacker Dr., 312-827-5626, Rice Grand Foyer (Main entrance on Wacker at Madison). You can book online here or if tickets are available you can buy them at 9:30AM the day of the tour at the box office. All reservations are final. No refunds or exchanges.

Lyric Opera Chicago tours

A one-hour experience with a Lyric docent who will give you behind-the-scenes insights into the vibrant world of grand opera. See the inside of the art-deco Ardis Krainik Theatre, enjoy an up-close-and-personal view of the orchestra pit where the acclaimed Lyric Orchestra plays, and then journey on to backstage destinations where you’ll learn about the vast array of skilled professionals who bring operatic stagecraft to life. Tours start and end in the Lyric Opera House Rice Grand Foyer! It involves a lot of walking.

Tours are not recommended for  children under 10 years old. Since this is a walking tour, please contact Lyric with any special needs.

• Visit the Opera Club on the lower level to enjoy the exhibit Ten: A Season of Creative Women, celebrating 10 directors and designers, each of whom plays an important role in Lyric’s 61st Season.
