Memorial Day Weekend freebies and deals 2025

Memorial Day is a day for parades and remembrance, picnics and barbecues — and lots of deals!

Many restaurants and retailers are offering discounts and freebies over the Memorial Day weekend. Some of the deals are only for military personnel or veterans, while others are available to all. Some of the deals aren’t specifically for Memorial Day. However, they’re available over the holiday weekend, so we’ll count them in as a way to enjoy the kick-off-to-summer holiday on the cheap. 

We’ve broken down the Memorial Day offers by restaurant deals, shopping deals and gift card bonuses.

Bonefish Grill

Vets are honored every day at Bonefish Grill. The restaurant’s Heroes Discount is offered all year long — 10% off for all service members, veterans and first responders. 

Olive Garden

If you take the whole family to Olive Garden, enjoy an extra take-home entrée for just $6. Pick up enough extra meals to enjoy over the holiday weekend. Choose from Fettuccine Alfredo, Five Cheese Ziti al Forno and Spaghetti with Meat Sauce.

Outback Steakhouse

 Vets are honored every day at Outback Steakhouse. The restaurant’s Heroes Discount is offered all year long — 10% off for all service members, veterans and first responders. 

Pizza Hut

Pizza is perfect for every holiday, including Memorial Day. Have an inexpensive pizza party over the holiday weekend, thanks to Pizza Hut’s ongoing deals and discounts. Share a slice of pizza and fun with the family…plus, it’s an easy set-up (and clean-up) for the party planner. 

Sonic Drive-In

Shake up the Memorial Day weekend with sweet savings!

Through June 29, 2025, Sonic Drive-In is offering 50% off all Classic and Master Shakes — after 5 p.m.

Best of all, there’s no limit, so everyone can cool off by enjoying a discounted shake.  

Texas de Brazil

Active duty military and veterans with a valid badge or ID receive 10% off their lunch or dinner prices at Texas de Brazil. The offer applies to accompanying diners — up to four at the table. The offer is available year-round, but not on holidays. (Don’t worry, Memorial Day is not one of the blackout dates.)

Ace Hardware

As part of its annual One Million Flag Giveaway every Memorial Day weekend, Ace Hardware is again giving away a FREE 8″ x 12″ U.S flag on May 24, 2025 — no purchase necessary. The flags are available at participating locations, while supplies last. 

AMC Theatres

Go to the movies over the holiday weekend. AMC Theatres offers 25% off evening ticket prices every day before 4 p.m. See the newest summer blockbuster with blockbuster savings! 

Ford

Rev up the savings for your service. Ford offers a special discount on vehicles for military personnel and first responders. This offer is valid year-round. Enter your zip code to find the nearest Ford dealer for more details.

Lowe’s

Summer is the time for lots of indoor and outdoor projects! From May 15 to 28, 2025, Lowe’s is holding its Memorial Day Sale.

In-store and online at Lowes.com, find savings on everything from sun-blocking patio furniture and outdoor power equipment to make the most of time spent outdoors to tools, paint and smart home products to finish indoor projects. 

Samsung

Through Samsung’s Military Offers Program, veterans, active military members and their families can save up to 30% off on phones, tablets, smartwatches and more when shopping on Samsung.com.

The discount program includes popular products such as Samsung’s Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Book3 series, Galaxy Tab S8 series and Galaxy Watch5 series.  

Memorial Day Gift Card Bonuses 

Relax over the Memorial Day weekend by putting away the outdoor grill. Let one of these restaurants do all the work over the holiday weekend with a gift card bonus or discount. Buy the gift card as a way to celebrate the start of summer or a way to save when you take the whole family out to dinner.

Applebee’s

Buy a $50 gift card and Applebee’s will throw in a $10 Bonus Card — from April 14 to June 28, 2025. The bonus card expires Aug. 3, 2025. 

Auntie Anne’s

Buy $25 in gift cards at Auntie Anne’s and enjoy a $5 Reward Code. The bonus is available from April 28 to June 15, 2025. Each purchase of gift cards in increments of $25 (in one transaction) will receive a $5 Rewards Code. The reward expires July 15, 2025. 

Bonefish Grill

Buy a $50 gift card at Bonefish Grill and get a $10 Bonus Card — from April 21 to June 22, 2025. The bonus card can be redeemed from June 23 to Aug. 24, 2025. 

Carrabba’s Italian Grill
