Millennium Park open
On Monday, June 15 Millennium Park reopened
Millennium Park has reopened with entrance and exit at secured locations with capacity limits (see below). The park is open daily, 8am to 9pm, for groups of 10 persons or less who practice physical distancing and wear face coverings. The public restrooms at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion are closed and a limited number of port-a-loos and handwashing stations have been added at Chase Promenade North.
Covid-19 Rules
Patrons are required to follow social distancing rules and are required to wear a face covering at all times in the parks as well as follow all other other City of Chicago Covid-19 health and safety guidelines.
While in-person programming is limited this summer, the Millennium Park at Home series is showcasing the Parks’ music, arts and recreation programming.

Millennium Park open – Daily, 8am to 9pm:
- Chase Promenades – with views of Cloud Gate (also known as “The Bean”) from Chase Promenade Central
- Boeing Galleries and exhibitions
- Lurie Garden (without water feature)
- Crown Fountain (without water feature)
- Wrigley Square (without water feature)
- BP Bridge between Millennium Park and Maggie Daley Park is closed
- There is a construction project just north/west of the Lurie Garden. When that project is finished then the area there will be open including the Great Lawn in Millennium Park.

The only open entrance to Millennium Park is at Michigan Ave. and Madison St. The only open exit is at Michigan Ave. and Washington St.
Entrance and Exit locations and capacity restrictions
The only open entrance to Millennium Park is at Michigan Ave. and Madison St. The only open exit is at Michigan Ave. and Washington St. Both the entrance and exit have accessible ramps. The entrance and exit will be staffed to ensure one-way park access, monitor capacity and reinforce physical distancing and mask wearing.
If capacity is reached within the Park, entrances will temporarily close. Guests will be asked to wait in physically-distanced lines for entry into the park.
Physical distancing ambassadors, wearing lime green shirts
Additionally, physical distancing ambassadors, wearing lime green shirts, will help provide information and remind patrons of the need to stay 6 feet (about 2 meters) apart.

Food & Beverage
At this time, food concessions are closed. The Park Grill Café will open soon for limited to-go service.

At this time, the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, the Great Lawn, the Welcome Center, the McDonald’s Cycle Center and the BP Bridge between Millennium Park and Maggie Daley Park remain closed. There is a construction project just north/west of the Lurie Garden. When that project is finished then the area there will be open including the Great Lawn in Millennium Park.
