City Leaders Gather to Commemorate the Life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Each year, the City of Chicago hosts the ceremony to celebrate the achievements of Dr. King, his impact on American society and the work that remains. During the program religious leaders of different faiths led prayers of Unity.
Members of Chicago Children’s Choir’s Voice of Chicago, In-School Choirs and alumni will join Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot for Chicago’s 35th annual Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Interfaith Celebration.
