Head to the historic Mexican neighborhood of Pilsen to explore the joys of the traditional chocolate-based dish of mole, at the 15th annual Mole De Mayo fest from May 24-26, 2024.
Restaurants and chefs will offer their best recipes for the rich sauce served over enchiladas or meats and local musicians will perform live in a packed line-up all weekend. A marketplace with art, local vendors and crafts and lucha libre wrestling will also add to the festivities.
The three-day fest will unfold with live performers on 18th Street, between Blue Island and Ashland, from 5 to 10 pm on May 24, noon to 10 pm on May 25 and noon to 9 pm on May 26. Admission is free but a $5 donation is suggested.
