This months theme
LUM8 will be honoring the Chinese Fine Arts Society. The theme will be “Chinese Valentine’s Day – the QiXi Festival” Every year, the QiXi Festival celebrates one of China’s romantic myths. Forbidden lovers, the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl were separated by a large river. But their tears eventually moved the heavens and, once a year, on the seventh night of the seventh lunar month, a flock of magpies forms a bridge so the two lovers can reunite.
