For the first time ever, the iconic Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve will feature Chicago’s midnight countdown on the country’s most-watched New Year’s Eve Broadcast. Chicago will host the free New Year’s Eve countdown on the Chicago Riverwalk on December 31, 2025, kicking off at 7 pm.

Witness the historic first Chicago New Year’s Eve countdown on ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, hosted by Chicago’s own, Grammy-winning artist, Chance The Rapper.
Head to the Chicago Riverwalk between Wacker and Lake Streets to join this free event. Chance will introduce an exciting line-up of performers that represent the city’s rich musical heritage. Live performances include DJ Mike Dunn, DJ Mike P, J.Ivy, blues queen Shemekia Copeland and Chance the Rapper.

Since this is a free event with no tickets required, fans will be lining up well before the event opens so bundle up and arrive as early as possible for good sightlines. The live broadcast will air on ABC at 7 pm. The main stage will be located at Wacker and Franklin Streets.
