The second-oldest LBTGQ+ film festival in the country kicks off with an exciting line-up of international features, documentaries and shorts with the 44th annual Reeling International Film Festival on September 17-27, 2026.

The rich diversity of the queer community is showcased during the 10-day fest, displaying contributions from lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender filmmakers. Celebrating portrayals that are too often misrepresented in mainstream media, Reeling Film Fest attracts fans from all over the Midwest.
This year’s films include the 17th-century costume-drama spoof of the popular TV series “Bridgerton,” “Mad Fabulous,” a dramatic feature with acclaimed actress Joan Chen, tracing a journey of forbidden love, “Montreal My Beautiful,” and the emotional documentary “A Deeper Love: The Story of Miss Peppermint,” following the life of RuPaul’s Drag Show star Miss Peppermint.
