Annual Reflections festival of lifelong learning at the Art Institute for Chicago seniors
When: Wednesday, September 21, 2016, 9:30AM–2:30PM. Opening remarks begin at 10:00.

Reflections is the free annual kick-off day held in September to celebrate Art Insights, a program that brings free slide talks to older adult community groups and retirement communities.
Reflections is free to all older adults and accompanying adult partners and group leaders. Please use the museum’s Modern Wing entrance (159 E. Monroe) beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Advanced Reservations for Lunch
Reflections offers an optional lunch in the Chicago Stock Exchange Trading Room for a fee of $19. Reservations are necessary for lunch and space is limited.
- Reserve lunch tickets with a credit card.
- Reserve lunch tickets and pay by check.
Tickets for lunch are non-refundable. Group tickets for lunch will be mailed in advance.
Individual tickets for lunch will be held at the door for pick-up on September 21
beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Modern Wing entrance to the Art Institute.

From 10:15 to 2:30, guests enjoy a variety of programs exploring the Art Institute’s collection. Enjoy a keynote lecture in Rubloff Auditorium and visit the galleries where Art Insights presenters lead five- to ten-minute presentations in front of museum masterpieces. Souvenir postcards enhance the small, informal talks. Music, activities, drawing in the galleries, an open studio, and auditorium lectures are included in the day’s events.

10:30–2:30 Small informal talks in the galleries and other activities at selected times throughout the day
11:30–12:30 Ticketed luncheon
11:15–2:00 Drawing in the galleries
11:15–2:00 Open Studio
11:30–1:30 Music in the galleries
11:45–2:15 Hubbard Street Dance Chicago workshops (three 30-minute sessions)
12:00–12:30 Lecture: “Jackson Pollock,” Fullerton Hall
1:00–1:30 Lecture: “The Hudson River School,” Fullerton Hall
2:30 Program concludes. The museum is open until 5:00.
