It’s that time of year when Chicagoans welcome the autumn season with polka, lederhosen and lots and lots of beer. St. Alphonsus Church celebrates its 21st annual Oktoberfest Chicago in the west Lakeview neighborhood with Bavarian food, live music and craft beer tasting on September 27-29, 2024.
A vibrant part of Chicago’s German community for 140 years, St. Alphonsus Church hosts a highly anticipated Octoberfest in the West Lakeview neighborhood with two stages of live music, beer, brats and pretzels.
Special craft beer tasting nights are scheduled for September 27 and 28. The ticket includes 15 tastings and a souvenir tasting glass. The tastings run from 6-10 pm on the 27th and 4-7 pm on the 28th. Tickets can be purchased here.
Octoberfest Chicago runs from 5- 10 pm on September 27, noon-10 pm on September 28 and from noon to 7 pm on September 29. The suggested donation is $10 on Friday and Saturday and free on Sunday.
