St. Alphonsus Oktoberfest Chicago

It’s that time of year when Chicagoans welcome the autumn season with polka, lederhosen and lots and lots of beer. St. Alphonsus Church celebrates its 24th annual Oktoberfest Chicago in the West Lakeview neighborhood with Bavarian food, live music and craft beer tasting on September 25-27, 2026.

A vibrant part of Chicago’s German community for over 140 years, St. Alphonsus Church hosts a highly anticipated Oktoberfest in the West Lakeview neighborhood with two stages of live music, beer, brats and pretzels.

Special craft beer tasting nights are scheduled for September 26 and 27. The ticket includes 15 tastings and a souvenir tasting glass. The tastings run from 6-10 pm on the 27th and 4-7 pm on the 28th. Tickets can be purchased here.

Oktoberfest Chicago runs from 5- 10 pm on September 25, noon-10 pm on September 26, and from noon to 7 pm on September 27. The admission cost is $10 on Friday and Saturday and a $5 suggested donation on Sunday.
