It’s that time of year when Chicagoans welcome the autumn season with polka, lederhosen and lots and lots of beer. St. Alphonsus Church celebrates its 21st annual Oktoberfest Chicago in the west Lakeview neighborhood with Bavarian food, live music and craft beer tasting on September 26-28, 2025.

A vibrant part of Chicago’s German community for 140 years, St. Alphonsus Church hosts a highly anticipated Octoberfest in the West Lakeview neighborhood with two stages of live music, beer, brats and pretzels.
Special craft beer tasting nights are scheduled for September 26 and 27. The ticket includes 15 tastings and a souvenir tasting glass. The tastings run from 6-10 pm on the 27th and 4-7 pm on the 28th. Tickets can be purchased here.
Octoberfest Chicago runs from 5- 10 pm on September 26, noon-10 pm on September 27 and from noon to 7 pm on September 28. The admission cost is $10 on Friday and Saturday and a $10 suggested donation on Sunday.
