Chicago’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration of Irish culture doesn’t stop with the parades. There are dozens of Irish pubs and restaurants that serve up Irish bites and drinks all year round but they really turn up the festivities for St. Pat’s Day.

This Irish-owned pub supplies a traditional ambiance with an impressive live music schedule. For St. Pat’s Day, Fado’ holds a series of special events.
Don’t miss the St. Baldrick’s head-shaving event to benefit kids with cancer on March 15, 2024, and there’s also a St. Patrick’s Day Parade Party on March 16, 2024. Doors open at 9 am for the parade with a brunch menu and live music for a $10 cover charge.
On St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2024, celebrate with live bands from 2 midnight, with a $10 cover charge.

Soak up your helping of green beer at this classic downtown Chicago bar. Emerald Loop Bar & Grill opens at 8 am on March 16, 2024, for the parade and will host dancers, bagpipers and Irish musicians.
The bar opens at 8 am on March 17, 2024, and will be supplying more live music and the regular menu’s Irish cocktails and Irish sausage rolls.

On March 15, 2024, a free concert of Irish music with three bands runs from 7-9:30 pm. Doors open at noon and reservations are recommended.
The pub opens at 8 am on March 16, 2024, and will feature live music starting at 9 am for the Avondale St. Patrick’s Day Parade which starts at 10 am.
For St. Patrick’s Day on March 17, 2024, doors open at 9 am and a $10 cover starts at 10 am for a big line-up of entertainment that runs through 9:30 pm.

The historic Old St. Patrick’s church hosts this family-friendly annual event, Shamrock n’ , kicking off on March 16, 2024, from 11:00 am -5:30 pm.
The event includes a beer garden, Irish dishes, bagpipers and dancers and crafts for the kids.
